Dutton Park School Tennis Court Grant Announced

Dutton Park State School will receive $19,000 in grant funding to repair and upgrade the tennis court facilities for community use, local Councillor Helen Abrahams said.
More than $200,000 in School Sport & Recreation Facility Upgrade grants have been awarded and jointly funded by the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
“This is great news for the local community,” Cr Abrahams said.
“The grant will be used to repair and resurface the existing tennis court, as well as install new posts.
“The fencing on the tennis and the cricket nets will also be replaced.
“The tennis courts are available free of charge to the local community - which is an important aspect of the grant funding.
“The newly upgraded facility will provide a recreational hub for the Boggo Road Urban Village.
“Facilities requiring upgrades for community use - such as indoor or outdoor courts, sportsfields, cricket pitches and nets, as well as pool facilities could quality for grants.
