New all ability play equipment will be installed at Harmony Gardens, Dutton Park starting from this week.
Councillor Helen Abrahams, The Gabba Ward, advised that the installation is to provide additional play equipment as well as enabling access for children with a disability.
“The equipment includes a caterpillar for children to crawl through with butterflies painted on the inside, so it is in keeping with the butterfly theme of Harmony Gardens”, Helen said.
A swing that provides more back support for the child shall also be installed.
“I know it will be very well used by children as there is always a demand for swings in a park” said Helen Abrahams.
“These improvements will compliment the chimes and other musical play equipment in this park” said Helen Abrahams
During the installation, the park will remain closed for approximately three weeks commencing on Tuesday 8th May.
