Storytelling, Conversation and Afternoon Tea

Come along to a unique and entertaining afternoon of storytelling and conversation with Dr Robert Anderson, OAM.

More fondly known as ‘Uncle Bob’, Bob is an Elder of the Ngugi people of Mulgumpin, Moreton Island and former Chairman of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Board.  He spent much of his youth ‘romping’ in and around Kangaroo Point and East Brisbane and has kindly agreed to share his story.

Cr Helen Abrahams, The Gabba Ward, invites you to share in this opportunity to hear Uncle Bob recount the most delightful and wonderful stories from his youth – many that are equally as relevant today as they were during his years growing up and living in and around Kangaroo Point and East Brisbane.

The event will commence with a free afternoon tea this Saturday 28 August, from 2pm - 3.30pm in the Raymond Park Rotunda, Kangaroo Point.  The conversation will start following afternoon tea in the park.

For catering purposes, please RSVP to the Gabba Ward Office on 3403 2165 or email thegabba.ward@ecn.net.au

Proudly supported by The Gabba Ward Councillor and the Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund.
