No exemption for residents

The parking meters outside residential properties do not provide exemptions for local residents in contrast to parking meters in Kelvin Grove, Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley and Herston outside residential properties.
The parking meters in Vulture and Edmondstone Streets, South Brisbane do not have this exemption.
“Residents in these streets can not park on the kerb outside their property without feeding the meters’ said Cr Abrahams
“The Lord Mayor was asked a question in the Council Chamber why was there were no Permit holder exemptions so I am disappointed that no signs have been installed in these streets.
This situation is inequitable. It is not consistent with the Parking Scheme Policy. (see below).
“This is totally unacceptable” said Cr Abrahams
“It shows what a shambles is the Lord Mayor’s roll out of the parking meters”.
