Roundabout terminus given green light

09 March, 2010

The Councillor for The Gabba Ward, Helen Abrahams welcomes the announcement that Council has purchased a property to deliver a roundabout terminus for the CityGlider at the West End Ferry Terminal.

This means the terminus will be at adjacent the West End Ferry Terminal at the corner of Hoogley and Orleigh Streets.

“This is a great win for the local residents and my action on their behalf when lobby for this roundabout terminus”.

“The local residents were not sidetracked by the spurious argument but the roundabout means the removal of fig trees in Orleigh Park” said Helen Abrahams.

“This decision means that West End terminus of the CityGlider will be of similar design to the New Farm terminus and so it should” said Cr Abrahams

“I know the residents of Morry and Hoogley Streets and Gray Road will be delighted by this outcome” said Cr Abrahams
