More CityCats worse Service

23 February, 2010

The new timetable for the CityCat service has fewer ferry services in peak hours at the West End Ferry terminal.

Cr Abrahams said that commuters are furious about the new service.
Ms Jane Hunter is shocked at this reduction in service.

“It will lead to overcrowding and passengers being left behind” said Jane Hunter.

There used to be a 15 minute service from University of Queensland to West End ferry terminal in the afternoon and now the services are 30 minutes being 5.07pm, 5.32pm, 5.57pm.

“The morning peak hour service from West End to University of Queensland is now 7.44am, 8.09am, 8.34 am. This is more than 20 minutes apart” said Helen Abrahams.

“I am very disappointed with this change” said Cr Abrahams

“The Lord Mayor should be encouraging people to use public transport and instead he is making it more difficult and less convenient to use City Cats” said Helen Abrahams

“The previous 15 minute service should be restored immediately” said Helen Abrahams
