Brisbane Writers on Show in Stones Corner

20 May, 2009

Two Brisbane actors will perform their celebration of local Brisbane writers for free at the Stones Corner Library at 10.00 am on Friday 29th May.

The Brisbane Writers Show was one of the highlights of this year’s Brisbane Writers Festival.

“The show will be performed at several Council Libraries during May starting with Stones Corner Library next Friday” said Cr Abrahams.

“Therese Collie and Tim Mullooly use a few simple props and their voices to bring to life Brisbane’s most loved and respected authors and their stories” said Cr Abrahams

This show of song, verse and prose gives snapshots of Brisbane’s history ranging form convict days, World War 2, the life of migrants and the 1974 Floods.

“These award winning actors will have the audience in stitches with laughter while learning more about our history”

“It is a show too good to miss” said Cr Abrahams

The Stones Corner Library is located at 280 Logan Road, Stones Corner
