Two well known Brisbane actors are performing their successful celebration of local Brisbane writers for free at the Senior Citizens Hall, Boundary Street at 10.30 am on Monday 2nd March.
The Brisbane Writers Show was one of the highlights of this year’s Brisbane Writers Festival.
“I saw that show and thought it had to come back to West End” said Cr Abrahams.
“Therese Collie and Tim Mullooly use a few simple props and their voices to bring to life Brisbane’s most loved and respected authors and their stories.” Said Cr Abrahams
The stories give snapshots of Brisbane’s history ranging form convict days, World War 2, migrant and the 1974 Floods.
“These award winning actors will have the audience in stitches with laughter”
“It was the reflections of our history that I found most enjoyable” said Cr Abrahams
“I would encourage everyone to come along”
This performance is funded by The Gabba Ward’s allocation from the Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Funds.
